We’re excited to have the opportunity to be working with the Josoor Institute on developing and producing their new Sustainability & Major Sport Events professional certificate program.
Just last month, on October 23rd, the Josoor Institute held an appreciation dinner with the Sustainability & Major Sport Events program and the Senior Sustainability Team from FIFA.
The event was held in celebration of the launch and subsequent success of the program. Since the start of the first course on the program, more than 500 learners from around 73 countries have enrolled and been engaged with content, practical activities, and case studies presented in the course.
This new HBKUx professional certificate program was launched in July 2019 in partnership with the Josoor Institute and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy. The program addresses critical sustainability aspects of hosting major sporting events in Qatar and the rest of the world.
The program is endorsed by FIFA and includes internationally renowned instructors and faculty from HBKU, the Josoor Institute, the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, and experts directly involved in the delivery of Qatar’s 2022 FIFA World Cup.
This program is a significant step forward into what possibilities exist in the future of sports education in Qatar.
