In closing off our outreach program for 2022, Construct and its team members are humbled and delighted to have been able to spread holiday cheer and bring big smiles to 60 children with our Santa Shoebox campaign.
The children, ages 7 to 16, received their Santa Shoeboxes on Thursday, the 8th of December, at their annual end-of-year party at The Homestead Drop-In Centre in Khayelitsha.
Each Santa Shoebox included a sweet treat, an item of clothing, education supplies, toiletries and a toy.
We look forward to renewing our social outreach commitment in 2023 and working with our local communities.

About The Homestead
The Homestead is a Non-Profit Organization established in 1982, to care for and support children who are from the streets. The Homestead has two Child and Youth Care Centers; the Bridge CYCC in Khayelitsha, and LaunchPad Transitional CYCC in Observatory, caring for boys and youth until they realize their full potential. To reduce and prevent the risk of children ending up on the streets, the Homestead has six Prevention and Early Intervention Program Centers. Placement of children in residential facilities is the last resort.
