For the past year, our lives have changed in a drastic way in which we did not see coming where we had to change the way we live, the way we work, and our daily lives because of the deadly virus called Covid-19. Everything that we used to do, from interacting with colleagues, setting up meetings, even learning, has all been moved online to accommodate our new way of living.
Working and learning remotely has been an experience where people are divided about seeing themselves productively working from home. Some are saying that they don’t reach peak performance because of at-home distractions. Still, all the groups have one thing in common; we all had to get used to the fact that this could be the way we live for some time, and we have to create an environment where you feel like you can accomplish the things you need to while remaining stress-free.
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”
Adding learning into your online world
Covid-19 has been tough on everyone! People have lost their jobs because businesses had to shut down or downsize because of lockdowns and restrictions. I speak to those that have been thinking about what to do while they look for new opportunities, and the best thing right now would be to increase your knowledge with online courses.
Online courses are there to provide learning opportunities without needing to leave the comfort of your home. A place where you can study and learn something new outside of what you studied previously. It gives you a place where you can start afresh and study something you have been interested in but did not previously have time to learn.
Reducing stress in your personal world
Online learning is the way to upskill yourself and make your resume/CV look more attractive to recruiters. Hence, they see that you are always learning and trying to improve yourself. However, we sometimes get lost in what we do, pushing and reaching our goals and not taking care of ourselves. Therefore, it’s not only important to use this time to educate ourselves, but also to prioritize balance and rid your personal life of other stresses.
