Implementation of a Flexible Inclusive Teaching Initiative

By providing the University of Oxford with a dedicated team for three months were able to complete the successful implementation of the Centre For Teaching and Learning’s Flexible Inclusive Teaching (FiT) initiative.

The Challenge

  • The CTL was tasked with providing inter-departmental support on a ‘Flexible and Inclusive Teaching (FiT)’ online framework for courses.
  • There was a need for extensive re-planning due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the resource profile and structure of the project team.
  • To assist with the rollover of their online courses and introduce and assist in implementing a more ‘Flexible and Inclusive Teaching’ methodology, CTL required external support from Construct.

The Solution

  • Provide a dedicated team that would connect with specific departments and assist them in rolling over and enhancing their existing online courses in line with the FiT framework.

The Result

  • Construct delivered all items on-time and in-budget despite the COVID-19 challenges and setbacks.
  • Construct assisted the CTL Learning Technologists by successfully restructuring their project process.
  • The FiT initiative has received extremely positive feedback from across the university since its implementation.

The Construct team were extremely professional, diligent and very personable to deal with throughout their time on the project. They could offer multiple skill-sets across their team and were very responsive to changing environments and requirements. Crucially, they were able to ‘hit the ground running’ and be productive very early in an engagement.
